A healthy diet can be pretty simple. All the nutrients you need can be found in a diet containing:
- starchy foods such as potatoes, bread, rice and pasta
- plenty of fruit and vegetables (at least 5 a day)
- some protein-rich foods such as meat, fish and lentils
- some milk and dairy foods
- not too much fat, salt or sugar
